Britain's tallest Sustainable Christmas tree

Engineers at Thomasons, a British engineering firm, designed a 94-ft. tall, 95-ton Christmas tree billed as the Britain’s most sustainable. It now stands outside a shopping center in South Wirral, U.K.. The engineering team designed the artificial tree out of lightweight, steel box sections for strength and stability. The tree is decorated with 100,000 lights and 80,000 ornaments. Thomasons says the tree was simple to assemble and maintain, and will be just as simple to dismantle and store for reuse next year.

The true size of the Thomasons’ Christmas tree is revealed by the interior shot showing a worker putting the finishing touches on it.
